The purpose of juicing is to flood the body with much needed nutrition that’s immediately available, easily absorbed, and quickly utilized by the body. With supplements being an important part of this program, juicing will help ensure nutritional needs are met, by naturally providing what may be missed with supplements. Along with the preliminary process of elimination, the juicing of raw foods must begin immediately after a cancer diagnosis.
Juicing should take place at least once everyday and be comprised primarily of organic green vegetables. Organic fruit such as green apple may be added to make juiced vegetables more palatable. It is NOT recommended to juice only fruit for a fruity juice drink due to sugar concentrations. It is also not recommended to add too much fruit to juiced vegetables for the same reason. Although fruit is very nutritious, add in small amounts for flavor, not nutrition. This regimen may be increased to a minimum of 2 to 3 times a day for the critically ill.
When juicing, be mindful of the fact that fiber has been removed, and the body needs fiber. For this reason, juicing should not be considered a full meal or meal replacement. Blending vegetables or fruit in a blender retains the fiber and has a thicker consistency than juiced vegetables from a juicer.
Remember: (BLENDERS ARE NOT JUICERS). Blenders blend the fiber and juice of produce together, liquid is added to achieve this action. Juicers extract juice from the fiber, resulting in 100% pure juice.
Basically there are 2 types of juicers, centrifugal and masticating. Both extract juice and nutrients, but it is important to note: Masticating juicers extract more juice and nutrients. Centrifugal juicers are relatively inexpensive and a cost effective way to start a juicing regimen. If the goal is to heal/reverse a serious condition, the masticating juicer will prove to be a better investment for extracting nutrients from expensive organic veggies. There is a 3rd type that may fall into the masticating category, twin or dual gear juicers. These juicers can be pricey and typically are not what one would purchase as their first machine. Those that possess them usually juice daily, have a good understanding of the health benefits that come with juicing, and may have worked up to this standard of juicer.
Over time, juicing will likely be the most expensive part of healing; due to the cost of produce being utilized, along with the amount and frequency juicing is being done. With health and possibly life at stake, it is not recommended to be frugal in this area. If the means (funds) are available, don’t just buy a juicer, invest in one, and make the best choice that can be afforded.
Juicing raw organic vegetables is an essential part of this protocol. Due to personal preferences and the amount of information available on various recipes, do’s, don’ts, and what to juice, details on juicing are not provided. Quality powdered fruit and vegetable products may be employed when juicing fresh is not convenient.
